Damn 'happening' for Year 2008.
SiChuan earthquake, China-made dairy products contained melamine, sub-prime crisis, collapsed of Lehman Brothers, minibonds, banks unstable, retrenchment, Thailand anti-government protests, etc etc and the recent terrorists attacked in Mumbai, India.
"Singaporean held hostage at Mumbai's Oberoi Hotel killed"
SINGAPORE: Singapore's Foreign Ministry says the Singaporean Chinese woman held hostage at the Oberoi Hotel in Mumbai has been killed.
Speaking at a news conference at the Ministry, Director of the Consular Directorate Jai Sohan Singh said they were told at 9:35pm Singapore time that she died tragically.
This was after her husband, who had flown up to Mumbai, made a final confirmation of her identity. She is 28-year-old Lo Hwei Yen, a lawyer at a Singapore-based offshore law firm, who was in Mumbai on a working trip. - Channel News Asia, 28 Nov 2008.
Pretty sad for her husband and family. A young life with bright future just gone in a day.
Saw her photos on the internet (shall not say where) and she's actually quite pretty.
Dont understand why those terrorists want to do this. So many innocent people are involved. What if one of the victim is their family members? How would they feel? Or perhaps they have no feelings at all..
What a grey world. There is never a black or white answer.
Sidetrack: I am supposed to start on the assignments but.. still procrastinating! Journalism is interesting. Writing a news script for TV? Not easy! =Þ

So many bad events happened for the past 11 months.
China earthquake, Burnei Cyclone, Mumbai Terror Strike, Global Economy Crisis, etc.
What has in stored for 2009? I wonder...
Today newspapers reported that there might be a "never-seen-before-mega-earthquake" going to take place in Sumatra, probably far larger than 9.2 magnitude. Perhaps in 2009.
The worst economy next year. Man, times are really bad.
