Here goes!
Day 1
The flight was in the afternoon so by the time we reached our hotel, it was 8pm (Taiwan Time). We went to eat shit for our dinner at "Modern Toilet Restaurant".
Yes, we were sitting on the toilet bowl.
Curry Rice.
Spaghetti (I forgot what the excat name is).
Side dish: Fried Chicken Wings.
Dessert: Vanilla with Chocolate Ice Cream.
You could even leave a message down and stuff it under the glass.

Personally, I find that the food was not that fantastic. I would say that it was just for the atmosphere. Well, it is a 'themed' restaurant so dont expect much on the food. After the shitty dinner, we went back to our hotel to rest to prepare for day 2.
Day 2
We had our breakfast at the hotel and set off at 10am to take their MRT to Xin Dian (新店) station. From there, we took a bus with the assistance of the kind staff at the Visitors' Center to Wu Lai (乌来).
It was such a bumpy ride that I think if we had a very full meal, most of us would vomit out the food. Furthermore, it lasted for almost an hour. Seriously, it's not for the faint-hearted. Note that the bus travelled on mountainous path which explained the "bumpy" ride.

It was a tiring day because halfway walking up the mountain then we realised that we could actually take the 'little' tram up...! Good exercise huh.. There was nothing much up there except to enjoy the scenery.
We had our dinner at Fei Tian Steamboat restaurant (飞天火锅) which was on the street that was opposite our hotel. Not too bad.. the Ma La (麻辣) soup was niceee!
I fell asleep faster than usual as I was too tired from the mountainous walk. Furthermore, we had to get up early for day 3!
Day 3
Had cup noodle for breakfast and we set off at around 6am for the bus to Cing Jing Farm (清境农场).

We reached Cing Jing (清境) by noon and the person-in-charge of the farm stay was called 李大哥. He came to fetch us within 15 to 20 minutes with the help of the staff on the bus.
The room was so big that it consists of 2 queen-sized beds!
Knowing that we have not had our lunch, 李大哥 prepared the lunch personally for us! Mind you, this lunch was not included in the farm stay. :)

Next, we went to 青青草原 for sheep show!

After the sheep show, we walked around came spotted CHERRY BLOSSOM!
Called 李大哥 to fetch us back and had our steamboat dinner (also prepared by him and his wife).
Luckily I brought my thick shawl over because the temperature dropped to 6 degree celsius in the night! It was super duper freaking cold that I didnt bath for a day. x_x
During our stay, there were 7 groups of guests who are Singaporeans out of 8 rooms. The other one is from Hong Kong. So, a group of this Singaporeans brought firecrackers and 天灯 up there.
Out of curiousity, we went out to the balcony to take a look at the releasing of 天灯. The owner even taught us how to spot the "天狼星", which is the brightest of all. We finished our cup of tea and went to our room to sleep which has a nice heater under the bedsheet. How thoughtful! Hee hee..
This is 嘟比 (Du Bi), a 3-year-old Husky. He has no temper and has a pair of unique eyes. 1 is brown in colour and another in blue. Hehe~
Day 4
Breakfast! Looks damn appetitizing. :D
After breakfast was wondering around the area cause there wasnt really much to do unless we stay longer and we'll have ample time to go to another HIGHER mountain which is call "合欢山". Too bad we were only staying for a night.. Nevertheless, we noticed that 李大哥 planted a lot of really really nice flowers!
We had our lunch (cup noodles) and again, provided by 李大哥 before he send us off to the meeting point for our bus back to Taipei.
He is really a nice person who is thoughtful and attends to all your needs. If anyone is going to Cing Jing for a stay, I will definitely recommend "观星园"! If I have the chance to go again, I would choose his 民宿 again. :) :)
On the way back to Taipei, the bus stopped over at Pu Li for a tour of their famous beer brewery.
Woah~ Wu Bai (伍百) as ambassador.
I bought some rice crackers and we tour around the place for about 10 minutes then got on the bus.
Finally, after a 4 to 5 hours bus ride, we reached Taipei at around 7 or 8 plus PM. Went to Shilin Night Market (士林夜市) for dinner..
Smelly Tofu. Tasted nice and it's really NOT smelly at all!

Mixed Fruits with crusted Ice. Consists of strawberries, kiwis and peaches.
Mango Ice.
Oh yeah! The famous 鸡排 that is a must-eat. Seriously, it's 90% better than the ones which is selling in Singapore. Hot crispy skin with super juicy meat and I mean, it's really a balance of meat and the crispy skin because the ones in Singapore, sometimes, the crust are more than the meat. Furthermore, the 鸡排 is super big that we can share with each others.
Now, it cost only NT$50 which is about S$2.50!!! Worth it!

Cheese Potatoe. This is very nice too. They have a lot of different flavour for it and we choose the one with ham. It's like mashed potatoe with fried outer skin plus ham plus melted nacho cheese with some spices added on top. Yummy! Bear in mind that one can get 'sick' of it if consume too much unless you are a serious cheese lover. Keke~
Singapore cuisine spotted!! It was so unexpected man. Anyway, we didnt get to try it because we were too full... I saw that the original stall was at Ang Mo Kio Ave 4. Hmmm........~
Day 5
After having lunch at Xi Men Ding (西门町)'s McDonald, we set off to the area around Taipei 101 for a walk, mainly the shopping center which is called "New York New York".

As there was not enough time left, we only went to Daiso and I bought a small bag. Met sis and parents at Zhong Xiao Dun Hua Station (中孝敦化站) for lunch at Ding Tai Feng (鼎泰丰). Little did we know that the time between 2pm to 4pm is their 'break time'. Therefore, we had to wait till 4pm for their opening...

So we went in at around 4pm and ordered the following:
White chicken (with I dont know what sauce was that but the chicken tasted COLD).

So what's the difference between the Singapore ones and it's origins? I cant tell the difference... haha!
A wholesale place for clothes, shopping at Wu Fen Pu was really cheaper than buying it at Xi Men Ding. Of course the discount was not 'hugh' unless we buy in bulks. Had some "收获" and went to Rao He Night Market for dinner. Again, we had Chicken Chop, Mango Ice, Takopachi, some Japanese food (cant remember what it is) and played a round of arcade games.
As I was too tired to take the MRT, we took a cab back to our hotel.
Day 6
We had our breakfast at this cafe which was very near to our hotel. Funny how we 'discover' this cafe only on day 6 as they really served delicious food!
Egg Crepes.
Sandwich with Ham and Cabbage. This is damn nice as they've added some sauce in it. I dont know what kind of sauce or how they mixed it but it tasted sweet with a little salty-ness.
After the delicious breakfast, we continue our journey to Bei Tou Hot Spring (北投温泉)!

It is so hot that we can see the steam above the water and the public are warned not to use it plus, it has a very strong smell of sulphur.
Even though the hot spring at Bei Tou smells of sulphur, we went ahead to have an hour of hot spring bath at one of the shop. Well, since we are already there, why not give it a try? King and sis felt itchy after the bath while mum and me had no problem with it. According to a regular customer, he said that those who felt the itch after the hot spring bath is due to "dry skin". Hmmm...~
Next, we went to Dan Shui Old Street.

We bought some stuff and ate some food but one of the most disgusting food is the SMELLY TOFU.

You know what? I am NEVER EVER going to eat GRILLED SMELLY TOFU after this. It is literally shit. Smells like shit and tasted like shit. I had a bite and splitted it out. Mum took a bite too while King ate the whole piece. No wonder he is full of shit!! LOL
Day 7
New experience. We took a railway train (火车) from Taipei Railway Station to Rui Fang (瑞芳) Railway Station. From there, we took a bus ride to Jiu Fen (九份).

This place sells a lot of their local food and some handmade stuff.
Meatballs.
I forgot what's the name for this but it tasted differently nice! They used the popiah skin as a base, put a scope of ice cream, peanut crust, roll it up and there you go! Somehow, ice cream + peanut crust is a very good combination. Sweet and cold, it is very suitable for a hot weather like Singapore. Perhaps I should consider bringing this to Singapore?? Hee hee~
This auntie is so funky that she caught my attention. She even put up a sign stating something like "Anyone is free to take a photograph of her". :)

As we were too tired, we missed out Jin Gua Shi and Kee Lung Night Market (another 2 tourist spots). We took the railway train back to Taipei and had "阿宗面线" for dinner at Xi Men Ding, which was the one that has no seats and everyone just stand there and eat.
Well, dad and mum went back to their room for a rest while we went to check out the 'famous' Mango Ice (again!) at Xi Men Ding. After having the 3rd round of Mango Ice, more or less it is the 'same' taste... Hahaha~
Day 8
The last day of the trip was doing last minute shopping and buying of souveniors or local snacks to bring back for relatives or friends.
I have to agree that this trip to Taiwan was indeed very tiring but at the same time, I've been to places which I have not visited before in my previous trip (way back in 2005 or 2006..). Credits to King for doing most of the 'planning of the iternary'.. Keke~
Till now, I still have fond memories of the Taiwan Trip and hopefully, I'll be back there again! Serious, I dont mind going back again. I missed the food, people, places, etc... :b
PS: I actually took about 3 days to finish this post man... *phew*
